Foliage: In September - October Vermont's wooded mountains burst into color. The farther south you go, the later the change takes place. The Southern region starts to turn by late September, usually peaking around the second week of October.
Killington peak, the tallest in the Green Mountain range operates the year-round the K-1 Gondola. It rises to the top of the 4,241 foot peak where couples enjoy a view of several states and Canada, mountains in every direction and the tremendous colors of Vermont fall foliage. The ride to the top is the perfect way to gain a little perspective after a day of hiking or mountain biking.
