Romanic Orlando VacationsNot just for kidsThere is a very romantic side to Orlando vacations with fabulous year-round weather and abundant natural beauty. Romantic couples can choose from several outstanding golf courses, plenty of entertainment options and a fine art museum. Actually an Orlando vacation is where we began our honeymoon. Honeymoon in Orlando Orlando has some wonderful, romantic spots throughout the area. For people wanting just to walk quietly side by side, there are parks like Lake Eola and Kraft Azalea Gardens. Below you will find our report on all the romantic dining, activities and accommodations we indulged in the first week.
Having arrived from Europe we were a bit jet-lagged and not immediately ready for Walt Disney World, Sea World and other famous mega-theme parks like Universal Studios. Luckily our family arranged for us to spend the first day of our romantic Orlando Vacations relaxing, lounging on long stretches of white sand beaches and swimming with dolphins, snorkeling through colorful reefs teeming with thousands of tropical fish, exploring underwater shipwrecks, and grottos at the Discovery Cove.
For the rest of our stay we kept busy with Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World - my favorite part was a tunnel aquarium we walked in surrounded by sea creatures. Disney World honeymoon: Disney destinations have become incredibly popular for couples from all corners of the globe. So much is that case that many elope in Orlando and have their destination wedding here too! Disney Vacation: If you’ve never been to Disney World you might think it’s best for children. While the area certainly brings out smiles in young ones, it will brighten your face too! Towards the end we did an air-boat alligator tour and to do something different we visited the Kennedy Space Center. There we wondered about the potential of romantic space tourism.
Bike rentals are available at many of the larger resorts, including Wilderness Lodge, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans and all the hotels around Crescent Lake (Yacht & Beach, Boardwalk). Couples can also rent canoes at Fort Wilderness, Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside. Pedal boats are available at Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, Old Key West and the Swan and Dolphin.
We had the most wonderfully romantic dinner at Manuel's 28th. It is on the top floor of a bank building over looking downtown Orlando. The meal and service were first rate. We heard good feedback about Seasons 52 and really enjoyed White Wolf cafe, over on lake Ivanhoe. I think it's romantic, especially sitting outside enjoying their delicious and different food, absolutely non-stuffy.
