When to go on Romantic Maui Vacation?
In terms of the best time for Maui vacations, if you want privacy avoid the months of December through March, which is “high season.” The best months for Maui vacations are from mid-April to mid-June and from the beginning of September to December particularly if you have a strict budget. The good news is you really don’t have to worry about weather. Even in winter it rarely rains three days in a row. The dry season is from April to October, and if you must travel during rainy season then you’ll want to focus on areas west and south of Maui, which tends to be dryer and warmer.
Because of being an island destination the water activities are abundant here. It’s fun to go on whale or dolphin sightings (your best bet is July and August, which also happen to be prime wedding seasons!). Or venture inland a bit – go dancing, have a tall cold drink complete with colorful umbrella and listen to traditional Hawaiian music.
Of course you shouldn’t leave Maui without enjoying at least one Luau. Honeymooners tend to get the five star treatment from islanders, and you can find a Luau nearly every night no matter where you’re staying. In terms of hotel Luaus, the one at the Hyatt Regency has some incredible talent as does the Queen Kaahumanu Center.
When you’re not eating or watching magnificent sunsets hand-in-hand, go shopping!
Look around for some Native Art to take home so you have a special remembrance of your Maui Honeymoon or romantic Maui vacations.
Remember to shop around. The art of haggling hasn’t been lost here.
If you and your partner are looking for some sporty outings you’re in for a real treat. On Maui vacations you can sail, ride a catamaran, snorkel, scuba dive, boogie board, jet-ski, and even surf. You’ll keep feeling like the Beach Boys should be around the corner somewhere playing to a beach full of beautiful people. If the water isn’t your main focus, then there’s tons of golf courses from which to choose.
What should you see on Maui vacations?
There is no lack of Natural beauty here and you may find it hard to choose.
Some recommended spots include the O’heo Gulch which is a series of pools and waterfalls, including a series of Seven Sacred Pools that are part of the Haleakala National Park. From this location you can watch breathtaking cliff divers.
And if you want to take a nice long walk together, there’s a hiking trail four miles long.
Take your time, stop along the way, and take it all in.
Take the time to go up to the summit of Kiauea, in Haleakala National Park and check out the caldera. The view along the way is truly amazing. If you rent mountain bikes you can take your time and really get a sense for the power and presence of Maui’s natural resources.
Hawaii Romantic Honeymoon Idea: You may want to consider hiring a private guide so you can see Maui’s culture and history away from other touristy regions. And set aside at least one full day to wiggle your toes in the black sands with your partner. Take plenty of sunscreen, finger foods that you can share with each other and just let time stand still.
A Hawaii Romantic Wedding can be a barefoot ceremony on the beach or elaborate affair. Maui Weddings are difficult to resist as the tropical allure makes it one of the most popular destinations in the world for new couples to tie the know, elope and honeymoon.
If you’re still stressed out from the pre Maui vacations planning then you may want to try a little aromatherapy at the Ali’I Kula Lavender Farm also in Haleakala. The scent of lavender is said to promote renewal, improve energy, decrease tension, calm, and generally support overall well-being.
The lavender farm blossoms year round with nearly every type of lavender known (45). Some 50,000 plus plants flourish here with olive trees and hydrangea over a ten acre space. It’s really hard to visit here and not be impressed by the loving care taken to create a functional farm that’s also incredibly lovely.
Hawaii vacations are difficult to resist as the tropical allure makes it one of the most popular destinations in the world for romantic getaways and for new couples to tie the knot, elope or honeymoon.
