A romantic honeymoon in Orlando and romantic vacations in Florida
Just because Orlando is Mickey Mouse’s playground doesn’t mean a honeymoon in Orlando can’t be a great honeymoon spot too.

Orlando has some wonderful, romantic spots throughout the area. For convenience we stayed in a Kissimmee Vacation Homes as it was close to all the activities and offered us some seclusion and a private pool.
For people wanting just to walk quietly side by side, there are parks like Lake Eola and Kraft Azalea Gardens. At the Lake bring along some bread for the swans and rent a paddle boat together. At the Azalea gardens you’ll find several great trails, or just sit anywhere toward the end of the day and watch the sky turn into a kaleidoscope of color.
Would you like to turn the heat up with some dancing? Orlando has a strong rhythmic nightlife. Disney’s Pleasure Island alone has 7 dance clubs with nearly any kind of music you could want. Alternatively you can go over to Universal’s City Walk and salsa!
Honeymoon in Orlando: “Doing” Disney
If you’ve never been to Disney World you might think it’s best for children. While the area certainly brings out smiles in young ones, it will brighten your face too! The grounds throughout the Disney complex are manicured with detail and rich in color. Additionally there are palm trees, pools, and theme decorations everywhere that immerse you and your partner in a whole new world. Take a honeymoon in Orlando and leave the office and stress behind. Kick of your shoes and enjoy all the diversity Disney has to offer.
Like what, you ask? A favorite Florida honeymoons pastime is taking a ride on a horse-drawn carriage. These go through the Magic Kingdom, and let you take in the scenery a little at a time (without wearing out your feet). Or, just snuggle!
A second attraction to which everyone seems drawn is the fireworks (no not the ones when you kiss each other – the nightly displays in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot). If you want to really spoil yourselves on your honeymoon in Orlando you can rent a yacht with a butler and gourmet food and sail through the show. For something a little less extravagant, ask your hotel if they offer any boat rides complete with Champagne.

You might even want to consider having a destination wedding in Florida.
Wondered where to elope in Orlando? Disney world has some really great fantasy weddings for every princess.
Romantic Restaurants in Orlando for your romantic vacations in Florida
No matter where you go in on your honeymoon in Orlando you’ll be treated to a fantastic array of places where you can eat at candle-lit tables and savor an amazing meal. Several, however, stand out as, “don’t miss these” (if you ca help it).
Try getting a booth at the Melting Pot (the name comes from the fondue offerings, which you can feed to each other!).
For something fanciful, try Victoria and Albert’s in Disney’s Grad Floridian. Every dish here has a special wine pairing for your enjoyment. There’s even a harp player!
There are a few other restaurants at Disney that lovers might enjoy. Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot smells fantastic and feels wholly quixotic.
There’s also the House of Blues (Downtown Disney) that gives you music with your menu that’s rich in Southern flair.
If you’re looking for dim corners and great ambiance on your honeymoon in Orlando – eat at Del Frisco’s Steak House on Lee Road. The restaurant has very tasteful decorations and the food makes you feel spoiled. The scent of fresh bred nearly overwhelms the senses.
For a down-home feel, there’s Le Coq Au Vin on South Orange. The owners here really give their all to the food. The menu has a nice assortment sure to please even finicky eaters. Try the soufflé and be prepared for hands-down fantastic service.
Finally, head over to Emeril’s Tchoup Chop in Universal. Come HUNGRY. The food here is an absolute feast for the eyes and stomach, and the staff are extraordinarily helpful. What’s on the menu? How about Asian Vegetable Dumplings, spicy green beans, Mongolian grilled pork, and beer braised short ribs just as a sampling?
Honeymoon in Orlando on a Budget
If you’re on a budget during your Orlando honeymoon don’t worry. There’s plenty you can do without breaking the bank.
Try Old Town for rides, music, and a wide variety of special activities depending on when you travel.
Pack up a lunch and head over to Ocala National Forest or Cocoa Beach for the day.
And for a taste of Disney without paying for park tickets, go to Downtown Disney and look around. It’s great for shopping.
